Fall. It is my favorite time of the year. I love the chill in the air, the leaves, layering, and the chance to stay home and do some sprucing up. I know, most people think Spring is the time to spruce and clean up. And Fall can be too. Here are a few things to tackle this season. Read more about these and other tips at This Old House. Escalation clauses, multiple offers, no inspections--oh my. The Fall market this year is mainly a buyers market, yet a variety of strategies are being used as buyers try to secure the home they looked for all August, yet just couldn't find because of low inventory. A recent listing of mine experienced multiple offers and more than one offer with an escalation clause. As a buyer and a seller, it is important to have a discussion with your agent on these, and other strategies, that can be put into play when presenting or reviewing offers. Every Tuesday, DC's Real Estate agents have the chance to preview property for their clients during Brokers Open events. This Tuesday, the chance to tour a bit of DC history was on my schedule.
