Recording History in 40 Minutes
On April 14th, StoryCorps' mobile Airstream rolled into DC for a 5-week stay. StoryCorps is an oral-history project whose mission is to record and archive American stories through an intimate interview among two family members.
While in DC, StoryCorps will record 7 stories a day. They kicked off their DC interviews with a conversation with Diane Rehm done by her son David. David's questions for his mother included what it was like to move from motherhood to a career, what it was like growing up in an Arabic home in the 40s and 50s in DC, and her experience with education.
