So many things to do this month, so little time. Between shopping, holiday gatherings, and last minute preparations for your holiday, you may find little time to get out and enjoy this wonderful city. But do. Take the time. Make the time. What should you pick? Here are just a few of the things that are worth checking out.
Music at The Willard: Bring music into your holiday with with complimentary nightly chorale performances in the hotel lobby. Performances take place 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through December 23rd.
Georgetown Glow: Now in its third year, Georgetown Glow, is a temporary curated art light installation. Pick a spot for dinner then take a stroll through the art enjoying the lights and sounds of Georgetown.
ZooLights: The zoo at night? In the winter? YES! ZooLights is a free event that transforms the Zoo into a winter wonderland with more than 500K environmentally-free LED lights. Under the lights enjoy live music performances, yummy winter treats, and plenty of opportunities for holiday shopping.
Trains in the Garden: Memories of childhood come flooding back with a trip to the US Botanic Gardens this December. The installation, “Season’s Greenings: National Parks and Historic Places,” celebrates the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service and the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act. Model trains wind around recreations of national parks and important historical sites like Mount Vernon.
